Dr. Ivan Stefanović was born on 8th June 1987. He obtained his M.Sc. in the field of Polymer Science at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2012. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Belgrade at the Faculty of Chemistry, with a theme “Synthesis and characterization of polyurethane copolymers based on poly(propylene oxide)-block-poly(dimethylsiloxane)-block-poly(propylene oxide) and their nanocomposites with organomodified clay” in 2017. Moreover, he attended his postdoctoral advanced training at the Department of Chemical Science, University of Padova, Republic of Italy. He is currently in a position of Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, Serbia. He works on the synthesis and characterization of novel polymer materials which are mainly based on development of linear, crosslinked and waterborne polyurethanes and their nanocomposites. He is also interested in the synthesis of novel macroporous polymers for the removal and sorption of heavy and precious metals from the aqueous solutions. He is the co-author of 17 publications that are on the SCI list, with more than 200 citations, with an h-index of 9 (Source: https://www.scopus.com/, Author ID: 56305769300).
